Its great to be able to get feed back or ready information about problems with your unit from members that have experienced and hopefully solved a similar problem with theirs. We just got our new 27 year old Airstream and are doing a thorough cleaning inside and out. Looking for potential or existing problems and learning where the various systems are and how they work. The previous owner did not have any of the manuals and I have not taken the time to order photocopies that are available. We have had RV's in the past including van campers, travel trailer and fifth wheel trailer and have recently returned from a 6000+ mile sojurn around the eastern half of the United States from the Great Lakes down the river systems, around Florida and back home to the Lakes with our boat. The systems other than propulsion are pretty similar for boats and RV's so hopefully we will figure it all out. We are retired and following our dreams. I advise those that say something like "Gee, I always wanted to do something like that" To just do it! All those collective potential problems, concerns and fears that stop action just seem to disappear when you get underway. Good luck to all! Mike

Glad to have you with us. Yup, Lynn and I are 'just doing it' with our retirement but not yet as lengthly a journey as yours. California ia a beautiful place to live in and to see. As a Michigan transplant I know of the beauty of the 'right' side of the US. We forget our history lessons that early travel and commerce in our country was by water so it shouldn't be surprising that you were able to accomplish the journey you did.
