Newbies from Texas

Hello from Dallas,,
We’re Manny & Melynda and our two dogs (Leeloo & Sausage)
First time AS owners, bought a 2017 Rear queen flying Cloud. Had a wonderful path routed and planned, got to first park, plugged in and found previous owners had not winterized. One broken water heater, and we learned our first rookie mistake when purchasing an AS.
Live and learn! Looking forward to our new adventure

Streamerdogs, you don’t get into RVing without one of those. At least you got it in early and close to home. Best wishes for many happy adventures!

Hello from Colorado: Welcome to the best Airstream Forums social website. Lots of good people and good information here in my opinion.

Texas had that nasty winter storm last winter. Maybe your Airstream was a casualty also. Take a flashlight and check the rest of the plumbing for leaks, especially the toilet inlet valve. Plastic parts crack first.

There are lots of great places to visit in Texas. Or you may want to head north or up in the Colorado mountains to escape the hot Texas summer. Anything is possible with an Airstream travel trailer.

Welcome…don’t despair…you will never have to replace the water heater again!
