Newbie with a Liner alert! We live just outside York PA and have had Scottys for some time. A couple friends found Airstreams...we looked and are hooked! found a 1948 Liner that needs completly redone inside. I have a 1941 Ford panel I plan to use to pull it, should look cool together. LOTS of great info here, great resource!!!
Howdy Larry -- Welcome to the Forums! Congrats on the great classic Airstream. That would have a pipe frame of limited capacity. An interior rebuild would have to stay as light as original. For advice to another '48 Liner owner, see http://www.airforums.com/forums/f368...ber-29387.html. Pay special attention to the running gear too. We give karma discounts for pictures!
Pictures are very important . Particularly as you work your way through the restoration. Also, are your fellow Airstream friends on the Forum? If not maybe give them a nudge. This is a pretty good virtual campfire to hang out at.
And of course the all important welcome, glad you have joined us.
Pictures of that '41 would also be great
Barry
