Hi all,
I've lurked here for years and finally joined the forum since I will be selling one of my Argosys on the classifieds soon. Two years ago I purchased a near mint 1972 22' Argosy for use primarily as a hunting camp. It worked awesome at that, of course. But this past fall my hunting party increased and I needed more sleeping space. I thought long and hard about modifying the interior by adding bunks and tearing out the bathroom, etc. but couldn't get myself to destroy the pristine interior. It is truly a time capsule to 1972.
So I looked around and found a 1979 Argosy 24' that needed lots of love. The roof leaked like a screen door, the floor was rotted, the walls moldy, well you get the idea. I made the repairs and took it on its maiden voyage to Michigan this past November. It was a rough trip, as the gas lines sprung leaks and the inverted died. So I have more work. But the interior was in such rough condition when I purchased I don't feel guilty one bit in modifying for my use. Both trailers pull down the road like a dream, but one has to go.

Thanks for the great forum and site.
