I am helping the old man scrub and dismantle a 60 something airstream. the trailer has apparently been parked most of it's life...empty.....in the southwest. gots lots of issues and the old man is gettin tired of the project....and ready to get back to his usual occupation ..

...trading horses. So...looks like i gots me a PROJECT.

OH. Ought to mention the beast will be an upgrade from our current living situation which is in the living quarters of a horse trailer.

..TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE.....

. He has been desperately seeking a bathtub. it is looking dire. Anyone out there ever created a tub? thinking maybe one could be fabricated somehow. also...how difficult is it to get to the rollers that roll up the venecial blind thing a ma bobs( cabinet fronts) it sure looks like i have to dismantle it in order to clean. thanks p oops...ps. not certain of make and model. will change info on profile next posting....

Hello and welcome to the forum. Sounds like you have an ambitious project ahead of you.

Is there a tub in the trailer currently? Do you have any pics of the cabinet fronts that you are trying to clean (roll up)?

we have pulled the tub. it needed replacing due to holes. think old man may have added to this feature upon removal.

..i was making myself scarce at the time, concentrating on scrubbing the nose end.

I sadly lack technology to post pics. have figured out it is a Souverign Land Yacht.

...duh.....keep asking old man for the year but get vague "early 60's" replies.

is this info located somewhere on the trailer?

Welcome to the Forums.
Here's a link to the Vintage Airstream Photo Archives and a '63 Sovereign.

By the pictures you'll see sample ID numbers. They are usually on a plate under the window by the door. If you can tell us the numbers we can tell you what you are working on.
The archives have photos of all years and models. Look around.
You mentioned roll up cabinet fronts. These were put in starting in 1969.

okay. it is a 72. the old man has been busy with horse auctions and as i am his helper i have been out of town also. The lady with the tub got in touch with us! yeah....now the gas lines are leaking somewhere and it looks like the sink has sunk....oh joy....well. thanks everyone once again. hope all ya all are staying warm this winter! check in again. p

If you have any question... look at the "search" word...at the blue bar top of the page here. Treat it like google. You will be taken to a whole list of references. Also there are some threads which are very popular because they go thru a whole subject...including pictures and added info from others experience.
