Well, after doing a little reading on here and poking around I found an excellent deal on a 2016 International Signature 30 from Ron at Foley RV in GulfPort, MS. My wife has been drooling over Airstream's for a while but was going to settle for a 17' R-pod. Anyway, I made a deal with Ron; got up at 3AM this morning and surprised her with it for her birthday/Christmas present.

Deal includes a Blue Ox WD hitch, and I purchase the additional airstream extended warranty.

Hi newbie in Alabama from an oldie in Colorado. Welcome to the Airstream community, which is really special. You will meet new Airstream friends where ever you might travel. You may notice on the road that others towing Airstreams may flash their headlights at you when you pass each other. Flash them back. It's just a way of saying hi and safe travels. There are campers, and then there are Airstreams. You'll have to sign up for an Airstream rally sometime and meet lots of Airstreamers. I haven't met a crabby Airstreamer yet!

You will have to read the travel thread by moosetags. They really know how to Airstream and find all kinds of interesting places. Wanderlust. And certainly there are others posting travel experiences on these Forums.

Airstreams have been built for 80 years or more. My trailers are 50 years old and 30 years old. Your new one is going to last a very long time.

Speaking about rallies. One of the biggest Airforums gatherings of the year is the Can Opener. It is held at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida every January. Santa Rosa Beach is in the western Florida Panhandle about 150 miles due south of Montgomery.

There will be well over 100 Airstreams in attendance. This would be a good opportunity to meet some great folks and see a lot of Airstreams.
