Newbie asks which B for Me?
From St Louis, my wife and I camp out of our full size van with a bed in the back and storage underneath. Really want a B (or B+ as retirement is a few years away) and always liked the Airstream reputation, so thought this might be the place to start. I have a whole list of wants, but don't know what's really practical for the price. So I'm asking for help. Here goes:
I'm 6"2" and would like something I can sort of stand up in. And since space is at a premium would like to sleep cross wise with a bed permanent and a small table else where. The toilet and shower are not needed (rather have storage). A small sink, range and frig would be nice. Don't want anything big, must park in our driveway and our subdivision frowns on large RV's hanging out into the street. This would more than likely be our second vehicle to drive around for errands, etc.
We have had an 06 Airstream Interstate for 2 years, and really love it. We are not as tall as you, and suspect you would find ours a bit small. The best thing to do, in our opinion, would be to go to a dealer such as Carolina Coach and Camper in Claremont, NC, and look at Class B motorhomes. They have many, many brands there, you could go in and out and look for what you want and like best. Happy hunting.
