Newbie

We are new to the forums pages. Hope I get it right. We are Vern and Kathey Heaney and we are going on the Southern part of the Capetown to Cairo caravan in 2010. Hard to believe but we are looking forward to it.
We are partnered with the Jordans in Corvallis OR with their Argosy.
We live near Bend OR and are former Airstreamers and will now be again.

Vern and Kathey, welcome! You couldn't have found nicer people to partner with - the Jordans are great.

Welcome Vern- What a great advanture! I wish you all the best and hope that the Caravan happens for you both. I am assuming you are going to be purchasing a new AS and TV to ship over. First what AS are you thinking of? Are you going to "break it in" here for a year before the trip? Are you planning on leaving it behind when you come home? How exciting! Keep us all posted on your plans! Wish we could join you!

thanks to all who wrote

We are actually not currently looking for a trailer and when we go to Africa we won't, unfortunatly, be travelling WITH the Jordans. We are just buying half interest in their Argosy and will be bringing back from Cairo to Capetown. The trip is in two parts.
