Newbee and green
Wow this is an incredable forum. I bought my first trailer Saturday. A 1967 Safarie. Like most newbees I probibly paid too much for her. But got her at mid range according to the value charts.
She is my retirement project. So within two years. When she gets her nose and butt powdered. And the jewery and high heels on. We will start the dance.

Welcome to the forum and congrats.
This is a great place to learn. But not the only place. I would suggest
reading as much as you can, and asking questions to whoever you can.
Especially when it comes to brakes, tires, and driving ( towing ) practices.
The forum members are more than happy to help. ( they might beg for pictures of your trailer though )

Wow and thanks for the pictures.
I really like the color of the bathroom. To me, it screams vintage!!!!
And if you like it too, then I hope it is salvagable. I would call it turquoise,
and perhaps consider a southwest theme.

Yes it is aqua. I want to find some big fish for the shower walls. It is so vintage cause the aqua wraps completely around the entire bath area.

Oh, yeah, gotta keep the b'room color. That speaks vintage fur sur.
Looks like a great project. Shouldn't be too hard to look for floor rot with the finishes off and of course the plumbing issues.

YES, the bath will be salvaged. I removed the closet next to the water heater last night. Now I have to put my kids gloves on What is the chances of getting a original toilet?

Southwest? YES The paneling and tonge and grove pine flooring I have in mind will fit well with that theme. In my mind it is all coming together. Now wher did I put that elbow grease.?

the diy program of the 70 Overlander is online on U Tube. just put in U Tube.com and put in Airstream. The programs don't come in a certain order, but thats the net.

Our web site is a "sale list only."
The original Thetford toilet has been gone for at least 30 plus years.
Thetford toilets today are far superior than the originals.

Welcome to the forum! This is the best place to learn all things Airstream! Lots of help here!
I suggest you take zillion of pics while making repairs. Hubby did a frame off restoration on our 63 Bambi and they sure came in handy when reassembly time came! It is amazing how much we can forget in a few weeks on where "this thing" went....
Also recommend you check out the rally calendar and start looking for rallies near you. Most will begin in the spring, some sooner... even if you haven't finished your Airstream, you should attend. Meet folks, talk Airstreams. Great place to get first hand advice and see what others have done!
