Hello all,

Very new to the Airstream world and need Lots of help.

We need to find bathroom fixtures, or at least a tub. It seems impossible? if we cant get original what would be a good replacement?

We are very excited and thanks to everyone for all the great stuff on the sight it has been very helpfull so far. It is great to see all the re-done airsteams and to know there is hope for ours.

thanks.

You may want to try one of these two sites for an original or a replacement. Good luck with your project!

Welcome to the forums,

I would search for other owners on this forum with the same year/model Airstream as yours... see if they have pictures, etc. and ask for dimensions, and the like if you want to try to go original. Be sure and check out the want ads/for sale on the forum as well! Post a "want" ad and tell all what you are looking for.

There are a number of vintage trailer suppliers, if you "google" the topic you will probably come up with hits that work. I emailed a number of my googled hits when I was looking for a specific knob for my Bambi and had some luck! I would also surf ebay under Airstream parts regularly to see if anything comes up! Next I would read through posts on the forum about bath fixtures, etc. and see what others have done. I know we replaced the faucet in our galley (kitchen) to one that was much more practical. I found it at our local Ace Hardware. There are also other sites posted about bath fixtures that folks use for renovations of their homes and often you will find an item fairly close. It means lots of time online... but then part of the "fun" is doing your homework!

We regularly lurked in Lowe's and Home Depot to see what we could find that might work to replace a needed item.

Good luck! Enjoy your 'stream! This is the right place to ask questions and find answers.
