Smile New UK Member!

Hello!

My husband and I have finally taken the plunge after years of longing and have just started the process of importing our first Airstream (a 1964 Globetrotter 19'). We intend to renovate it and sell it on, and hopefully end up with a small business buying, renovating and selling, but one step at a time eh?! We have always loved them and have wanted to buy one for years so after a lot of procrastination we figured this was the best way to be part of such a fantastic community!

I have been reading some of the threads and it's really friendly and helpful on here, I hope I can contribute with tips and help as I get more experience.

Hope to speak to some of you soon!

Lisa

Hi to you both and happy Airstreaming. I am also living in the UK and am in the process of obtaining an Airstream motorhome. I have found everyone on this site very helpful and have had some great suggestions especially when it comes to shipping etc. One of the big issues for me is that I have heard so many horror storries regarding import tax, conversions etc. It would be great to keep in contact with you regarding experiences good and bad which we could share with others. There are loads of things to consider once the vehicles reach the uk and I have had some very helpful advice and offers.

regards Kirstin

Hi Lisa: "Welcome Aboard" !

Just a brief reminder that if you have a question and can't find the answer here at the forum, then the question just does not exist!
