Smile "New" to us - 1997 Safari 25'

Although we have been fixing up our 1971 Land yacht 23', we decided a different floor plan (rear twins) and bigger bath would suit us better. So last week we had the opportunity to purchase a 1997 Safari 25' and so far couldn't be happier. The twin bed configuration, separate shower, bigger refrigerator will be so nice. I'm not crazy about the windows and will miss the larger openings of the 1971, but overall very happy! We also couldn't be more grateful for the information on this forum which has helped us get acquainted with the differences. Thanks everyone who has posted about their 1997 trailers!

Hello and welcome to Airstream Forums as a poster. It sounds like you know a lot about Airstream trailers considering your vintage renovation project.

Post a photo or two of your 97 Safari when you get a chance. I'd like to see it and I'm sure others would too.

Lakesider, welcome to the forum! Nice looking rig didn't know a safari would polish up soo well. You sound a lot like me I have a 99 25 safari and just picked up a 70 25 safari to fix up. Might have to think about polishing the 99 now. Have fun be safe.

Thanks! The former owner did the polishing, but he also took off all the blue trim, any Airstream/Safari exterior signage, so we have no idea what the trailer may have have had on it or looked like from the exterior in its original form.
