Post New to the stream.

Good morning, nearly noon from PA. My husband and I are preparing to retire and ordered our Airstream Caravel about 1 month ago. We are both newbies. New to Airstream and new to camping. We have successfully raised 5 kids together so I am hoping we can survive camping.
The dealer told us it would be 12-14 months for delivery and I think he said we could check our order status online but I can’t seem to find or figure out how? That is what lead me here. I see a ton of information and I am sure we have plenty to learn. Thank you for allowing us to join you.

Hello and welcome to the forum. It's a great place to learn and share experiences.

I don't think it is possible to check the delivery status online. At least I don't know of a method. If you can get the VIN for your Caravel (which will comelier in the build process) you can use it to get updates from the factory.

Best wishes!

Welcome to the forum!

My wife and I are new to the concept of RV'ing too and really looking forward to the adventure. When we ordered our trailer, the estimate was 10-12 months and we're now within ~30 days of delivery. This site is definitely a great source of information; posts from people with a LOT more experience/knowledge than me.

Welcome from Colorado to these Forums. I bet your selling dealer knows how to gain access to factory updates. Airstream is a bunch behind on their builds and their suppliers are behind too. But your new Airstream will get delivered.

Use the long wait time to learn all about your new trailer and all about the travel trailer life style. I believe you will find it very enjoyable. Here we are "camping" in Colorado. So much to see and do. Camping is a tent, an Airstream is "glamping". Warm dry place, comfortable bed, your own bath, a full galley, and the like. Not exactly "roughing it".
