New to the scene !!

Hi,

Our names are Nan and Gene. We live in the Appalacian Mountains of TN.
We are both retired and ready for some real layed back living!

We do not own an Airstream yet. We have found one or two that we are very
interested in. We want to wait alittle longer to see if we are making the
right choice on one since we know absolutely '0' about them!!! I do know
when we decide on the one I will have to go in and redo it since I am a retired decorator!!! What fun! I am so excited about redoing one. Of course,
my husband is not that thrilled. He would just take it like it is! I am sure all
you gals out there can appreciate that!!! but I will get my way most likely!

We are looking at the 1976-1978 Excella's. We have found one right here
at home but the price is too high since we are going to have to redo it. One
will come along soon because we are both anxious to get on with it. Hopefully by fall or early winter we will be on the road!

If anyone out there can help us with anything regarding these gorgeous
bullets any advice will be appreciated at this point.

THANKS. NAN & GENE
LET'S NOT FORGET Hannah, Harry, and Duffy. Our three companions that
will be traveling with us. They are a Black Scottie, Long haired toy dachaund,
and our beautiful boy Duffy that is a rescue Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier,
that was terribly abused and is still freighten of everything. He will be a
challenge in our new bullet!!! but we feel he will settle down in a short time.

Welcome to the forums and good luck with your search for the perfect Airstream. We searched for over a year before we found ours.

Be ready to grab it fast with cash...

I found mine stopping for coffee at Starbucks. I called the number on the for sale sign, the guy came over and I took one look inside, then said,"Can you deliver it tomorrow?" It was love at first sight. When he came to my house, he told me he had just left it there right before I called and had also listed it for sale that day in the paper. He was being bombarded with calls, finally took the phone off the hook....

Someone followed me the first time I drove it and tried to buy it off of me!

Good Luck,

Carol

Welcome,

We hope you find that special Airstream you're looking for. Plan to join us for a rally if you're able. Even if you don't have a trailer by then come on anyway and join in on some good times with fun people. Here are a couple that aren't too far from your Tri-City location.
