New to the forums and to Airstreams!

Things have moved quickly since I started looking for an Airstream. I found a 1980 International 25 ft here in Ontario through this site and towed it home this week. This replaces a 15 ft fibreglass trailer we had for 7 years. I pulled the Airstream down 401 from southwestern Ontario to eastern Ontario and was delighted to find it handled every bit as good as my small trailer.

Just sold my old trailer tonight so I have moved from fibreglass to aluminum. Thanks to a number of you who answered some questions I had before I made the purchase.

Look forward to a rally someday. Have there been any in Ontario?

Congratulations on the new trailer.

There is an Ontario Unit in the WBCCI. You may want to contact them to find out about rallies in your area.

Lucky, lucky you!! I hope you find the move to be as enjoyable, interesting, entertaining, fun and worthwhile as much as most of us have. There is so much experience on these Forums - have ANY question, you'll find an answer here. Hasn't failed me yet. We've just completed our first year of trailering - fortunately, we started with an AS. Heck of a learning curve, the first year, but we managed. Can't wait for the second year to start - don't know how to make it through the winter. We're both having withdrawals just thinking of not seeing the TT for so long.

Congrats on your big step - hope it proves out to have been a step up. Enjoy the coming season and hope to hear of a rally you're planning for Canada.
