New to forum.

Hi! I'm new to the forum, so please overlook any screw-ups.
I'm also new to the Airstream world. I now have a 28' 5th wheel and am looking to downsize. My wife and I are considering a 19' Safari SE and would like to hear from any of you Airstream folks out there that have one of these, what you pull yours with. I'd like to purchase a Toyota Tacoma, dual cab, 4wd, with a V6, but I'm worried about the weight factor with this truck. Most especially if we travel from Florida to the Western states (big mountains!). It's supposed to pull 6000 lbs. BUT, this is the MFG talking. I'm looking for real world information. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks - PassinThru

Welcome to the forums

Greetings from central wisconsin! I can't give any advice on the safari, but my father in law has a Tacoma as a Tow Vehicle. He pulls a 24' starcraft that weighs 6000# loaded, and hasen't had any problems. Hope this helps

Welcome from Walton County

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

A loaded 19' Bambi will probably weigh out in the 4500# range. The Tacoma would pull it, but I'm not sure how well it would do.
