New to forum

I have been looking at the forum for a number of months, and decided today to join in. My wife and I purchased our new 28' Sarfari in April 2005 and have been enjoying it almost every month. Have taken two long trips with no problems. He had other brands of trailers and the Airstream is our last, it's great. I am college instructor in Orange county California, for 28+ years now. My subject area is heavy-duty diesel transportion vehicles
(diesel mechanics).
I have benefited from viewing the forum serveral times and maybe I can add to it a little sometime.

Glad you made it here....with your experience, I'm sure you'll be able

Have they closed down my old duty station at El Toro for rv storage yet?

Welcome aboard!
You've been rolling with your airstream a while and with your background I bet it won't be to long before you get to share your knowledge with us...Hey, I know with an old rig like my 1990 F350 and its 7.3 ltr diesel I'll probably be looking for your advice before too long
Good travels to ya!

El Toro RV on the base is still open. Not much construction yet on the old base.

7.3 is a very good engine, just change the oil and filter at recommended mileage, use the approved diesel oil Delo or Rotella etc. Also change the air filter when needed. Service cooling system every two years. It should be good for 300,000 plus. I am sure you are already doing this. Good PM goes a long way.

Welcome to the forums. It is nice to see another Orange County member, I am very familiar with Santa Ana as I attended school there from second grade through high school. SAHS class of 64, go Saints.

With there current housing market, I think that Lennar will keep the RV storage open for some time, unless it is on the Great Park section of the base.

Welcome TB !

Glad you decided to join the forum. As you've seen there is always a lot of discussion. You've also noticed that those of us here in the California area have recently had a few rallies. We hope that you can make the time and join us for the first rally of the year in January 2008. Just down the road in Temecula. You'll meet a bunch of super streamers and see all the various models that we have.

Check out the bottom of the "Portal" page for the Cal Streamers Winter rally. when you get a chance.

Well, in any case, welcome aboard and enjoy the ride!
