Hello from Colorado: Owning an Airstream is a lot different than a some other brand box camper. They are unique, they are small and efficient inside, there is an active following of the brand, they are well made and last a long time. And they are made in Jackson Center, Ohio.
Our family bought a new 1986 Limited and traveled extensively for 20 years. When Grandpa and Grandma became too old to hitch up anymore, we were asked to take good care of their Airstream. I believe we have, and we are now traveling with it in our retirement. If you decide on an Airstream, plan on it lasting a very long time with reasonable care.
You might give thought to a 10 year old Airstream in the configuration that you want.
