Question New to Airstreams need education!!!

I've been working on a 72 land yacht for about 4 months now. I picked up some good ideas from pictures here. I have a few good old parts and I hate to waste anything . Is there a market for things of this nature? I also need a new lock for my refer hatch and new awning material . I'll have some pictures this week to share . Pete in Vegas

Welcome Pete and congrats on your project. You can sell your stuff here on the classifieds. For awning material most will probably tell you to use Sunbrella.

Welcome aboard, There is a classified section here in forums where you can list the items you no longer need and there are also items for sale that might be just what you are looking for. Some of the club rallys have flea markets where you can get hard to find items and look in the classified section of the blue beret.

Hi Pete,
I have been selling a lot of our interior pieces in the classified section here as well as on Craigslist. You might really be suprised at how many people want original parts that are in decent shape to repair parts in their own AS.

Welcome to the forums!

By all means post your items for sale! The ones that don't move, post as freebies for someone to pick them up. Even old stuff can be used as patterns or portions disassembled and used.

Our forum classifieds will get Airstreamers as well as Craigslist! Both are free to list! Good luck! Thanks for thinking ahead!! Sometimes folks will throw stuff away just the day before a forum member knows it would have been available! Post pics of the stuff, it will really help!
