I just purchased a 1965 Caravel 17' in Northern California a couple of weeks ago. I have have several vintage trailers but this is my first Airstream. It is also teh first trailer my wife likes! It isn't pretty but its not too bad either. It has been painted and has sat in one place for over 20 years even though it was registered and operational. I have two Cub Scout sons and we hope to use this over the summer after a good cleaning and new tires. Hawkrod

welcome hawkrod and congratulations on your new treasure. i looked at the picture and fell in love with it! it is easy to see why your wife likes it. some elbow grease and some work (lots of fun) and you will wonder how you ever got along without her. she is going to be a wonderful trailer. i would love to find one like her someday. have fun and welcome, friend!
