New owners of a 2007 16' Bambi

Hi All,
Just wanted to introduce myself and say my wife and I read this forum quite a bit before purchasing this 2007 16' Bambi last weekend. The trailer has a few issues to resolve and we have lots of new questions, which I will research and/or post in the appropriate area.

We have never owned a trailer before. But we just didn't want to sleep in the tent anymore. We decided to go small and seriously considered the fiberglass eggs. Ultimately, we just couldn't get past the Airstream and this community really helped inform us. So thanks!

Ralph

Hi TB & Greg,

Thanks for the welcome. I noticed you pull your 19' with a Tacoma. I was considering a similar setup for my 16'. I need the Tow Vehicle now that I have the trailer.

Here's a thread I started on the subject...

Welcome Portillos! I have a 16' Bambi too! You've come to the right place to find answers to all your Airstream questions. Take care and may all your roads be smooth!

Welcome, from one newbie to another. We also bought a 16 ft Bambi this summer (our first trailer, too) and have had a WONDERFUL time with it! We're weekend campers right now, but are having the time of our lives!

Ah...Carlita, just saw you were an Oregonian...maybe we'll meet up someday in a local campground with our cute little Bambis....Have seen Airstreams everywhere we've gone, but have never seen a 16 ft. one on our travels

I've posted a note on the above thread for you RE our opinion of a Tacoma as a tow vehicle for you...it's a good match...not too much and totally adequate for the 16' and 19' Bambis.

Looks great! Welcome to the Airstream family. We love our 16' and know you will to. We did an 8000 mile trip to the west coast this summer and she did great. Best of luck!

Congratulations on the new addition to your family! You'll really enjoy this trailer. We also have a fiberglass egg, so we understand the struggle between both. The Airstream is so posh, though! It's a huge step up from tent camping. Wait till you experience hot water any time of the day. No more hauling and boiling for dishes! Have fun!

Welcome! My husband and I are new here as well, to both this forum and to RV'ing. We also just purchased a 16' Bambi this month and are slowly learning the ropes. This forum has been especially helpful as we are also transitioning from tent camping. We've taken our Bambi across the country already and it was so much fun! You're going to have a blast!

Congratulations!!! We got our first camper last month as well: A used 19' Bambi. Feels great doesn't it? Few little problems here and there but nothing serious. We pull it with a Tundra. We love our Bambi. Enjoy yours!!!
