New owners of a '04 Safari LS

Hi everybody, I've been lurking a bit, and have posted some questions and received some answers in the last few weeks. It's time to intro myself.

My wife and I just bought a '04 Safari LS (24 ft.), in seemingly "new" condition. We have been unable to find any signs of use- all the decals are in place, the stove top looks like a pan never sat on it, etc. We are really thrilled to not have to "fix 'er up" before using it. Don't ask about the '73 Cruise-a-Home houseboat that we bought as a "project"- our marriage survived but our sense of humor was stretched pretty thin.

Our first use will be as a "cabin" near our very pregnant daughter who lives 4 hours away. When things there settle some, we'll start planning some adventures and hope to attend some AS rallys. No TV yet, and will probably wait and look as we use it as the cabin.

Of course there are 1,000 thing to do, even with a trailer in good shape, and we're planning on some decorating, some cleaning and shining, a TV, etc.

Really glad to join the airstream community. And special thanks to Vinnie (AirSlide) and Ray (Mexray) that helped me with the pre-purchase stuff!

Thanks,

Don

Whoops, just edited the first post- it's a 24, "normal" layout, with the bed in the rear.

Looks great! We just drove 1300 miles round trip from Charleston SC to Columbus Ohio to pick up our 07 ls Safari! Know you are as proud as we are! Now, just to keep them as pretty as when we got them! Congrats! Linda and Steve Roberts

Thanks all! It's in the driveway for a few weeks to fiddle with, wax, and fondle. It's been so cold here (for California- down to 40 at night!!) I've resisted going out and sleeping in it- but may this weekend. We love it!
