New members from Ontario, Canada

We are new to this forum, which has already proved to be an invaluable resource in finding the right Airstream for us. After a hiatus of several years, we will be re-joining the RV Life. We recently made our deposit on a 2022 Caravel 22 FB with an expected delivery date in time for the Spring of 2022. We can’t wait for the next camping season! We anticipate that we will often rely on this forum to obtain the information we will undoubtedly require once we begin airstreaming!

Welcome to the Airstream adventure! Let’s hope 2022 brings open borders and lots of fresh experiences! We started with a 22 Sport (with the noisy AC, unlike yours) and I think you will really enjoy your new trailer!

Hello from Colorado: Glad you decided on an Airstream and decided to join these Forums. You will be an expert in your new Caravel by reading up here. The Caravel name is an old Airstream model name dating back to the early 60s anyway.

I like the vintage Airstream hobby. I try to renovate these old trailers to be a bit nicer and more comfortable. But your new Caravel will be very well built and very comfortable right out of the box.

Here is a photo of my son's 1969 Globe Trotter 21'. We spent last winter working on this trailer. We converted it to a rear bed, mid bath, and U dinette layout. It is now very functional and comfortable.

Thank you for the warm welcome!

We will certainly keep our fingers crossed for a return to normal in 2022. It would be so nice to travel the roads of North America next summer. By the way, that 69 Globe Trotter sure is a beauty! Great workmanship!

Hello from Toronto!
Congratulations on your new Airstream!
We too are expecting our new Flying Cloud 30FBB to be delivered in May or June 2022.

Where are you located in Ontario? I guess, you ordered from the same dealership in London since there is only one in Ontario.

Hi, thank you and congratulations to you as well!

We are located in Northeastern Ontario and indeed ordered our Airstream from the dealership in London. We had initially ordered a Caravel 22FB but have since upgraded to a Flying Cloud 25FB. While the Caravel would likely have worked for us initially, it became pretty clear that we would eventually move up in size. We decided to do it now!

We hope to see on the roads next summer!

You are wise to step up to a larger Airstream in my view since you intend to travel with it, not just weekend trips. Many people start small but trade up once they find out there isn't much room in those cute little Airstreams, especially on a rainy night in the campground.

Hello, I just bought a 1973 Overlander and live in Whitby Ontario. I wonder if there’s any Ontario Rallies?

Check out the Ontario Canada Airstream Club, one of the largest and most active of the local clubs that make up the larger WBCCI, now more commonly known as the Airstream Club International. You can find plenty of info at Airstreamclub.org

Congrats and enjoy your Airstream!
