New members from Florida

We just purchase a 1990 350LE which needs a lot of cosmetic work on the interior and some general engine maintenance and some TLC. We are excited about becoming airstream owners. Anyone out there familiar with this model and have any tips?? Click image for larger version

Welcome to the forums from Pennsylvania. We don't know much about the motorhomes, but we know many here do. Yours is a beauty. Enjoy!

Axles for 1964

After Taxes,

There are several threads here on the forum about axles and knowing if it's time to replace them. A quick search with the search function will get you to advice about checking the axle. Our '64 axle was at the point that when we jacked it up, the axle (wheels) didn't drop much at all.

The replacement is not difficult, although I would get some experienced advice when spec'ing the replacement. There are a few folks here that replace axles all the time and have a good handle on the subtleties of the changes through the years as well as the different options that will fit and add height or weight capacity, if desired.

For us, we had help from an experienced pro (Shacksman) on the axle for our '64, but did the two axles on our '68 ourselves (in about 3 hours including dropping the old axles at the recycle center). Most projects don't go that well.

Good luck and to not hijack a welcome thread, just send us a PM if you need more help.
