New Members and Owners - 1972 Ambassador

Hello, I never expected to be an Airstream Owner, but it's not the first surprise in my life.

We stared our adventure last month when we drove to LA and towed it back to Portland, Orergon.

We're now wrapping up a few repairs to have all systems up and running before our first trip.

Our plans are to retire sometime in the next year and we're looking forward to seeing more of the US and Canada.

Terry and Tammie

Welcome Terry & Tammie! Congrats on your new Airstream. Please share some pictures of it if you get a chance.

We have a pretty active group of Airstreamers here in the Northwest - hopefully we'll meet you on the road one day.

Happy camping!

Welcome!
You drove right by us, I may have even seen you.
I also have a '72, this forum was very helpful in my research prior to making that purchase. I was able to pass up a couple of real nice looking trailers in the photos that were wrecks, and found this gem.
The folks here are almost exclusively nice, the info is usually good - sometimes you have to evaluate and make a judgement based on the viewpoints presented.
If you want info on axles or 1/2 ton vs 3/4 ton - all bets are off. (You'll eventually see what I mean...)
Have fun,
Dave

Congrats and welcome aboard. Kick back and read through the post...you have questions, the forum has answers!

What are your plans for your new wheels? Staying original or custom? (Or somewhere in between)

look forward to seeing pictures

hello

Welcome from a '77 Owner! Ambassadors seem to be one of the smaller owner groups but we really like ours.

Yep, that was it. Hopefully you didn't notice the hole I knocked in the rear. It;s being repaired now...

Terry, Check out the info on the Stubb Stewart State Park rally April 11,12,13. It's near Banks/Vernonia. Several of us will be there. Good place to ask questions! Darol
