Red face New Members!

Greetings!

We live in Central Illinois and have had a 2006, 22' Airstream Interstate since 4/07. We are very happy with it, and find it perfect for our needs. We would love to share information with fellow travelers.

We retired 10/07 and have been happily cruising the countryside near-full-time ever since. We both turn 60 this year, have 5 children between us and 9 beautiful grandbabies.

Gene from Airstream of Arkansas recommended that we join this site, although our somewhat techno-challenged state may be a handicap for awhile! We are fairly proficient with our computer, but don't blog, do myspace, etc. We'll do our best, and welcome suggestions.

Thanks!

Welcome!

Doug and Maggie, welcome to the Forums! We're close by in Bloomington, IL.

You might be interested in some AirForums rallies that are on the calendar. Check out the Upcoming Rallies link http://www.airforums.com/?page=calendar . soldiermedic is organizing a couple of rallies that you might want to attend --"Branson Spring is in the Air" in April and "Midwest Rally at Rend Lake" in May. Plus, he has a couple of others in mind for the summer and has a Branson Fall rally.

Each June for the last several years, JC Canavera has organized a rally at Moraine View State Park. He'll be posting information about that rally within the next weeks. We're on hold waiting to see where we'll go this year -- if Moraine View remains closed. Jack has some alternative sites in mind.

You may see other rallies on the calendar that are on your travel plan as well.

Welcome! -- you've found a great community of folks here.

Nancy Mac

Welcome to the forum. Gene Morris also recommended us to the forum as well as the Branson rally which is now in its third year. You will meet some very nice people at these rallys who enjoy their AS and with give you lots of good ideas for making improvements to your unit. A tour of everyone's AS is normally included in the rally as well as lots of good discussion and plenty of food. Hope to meet you in Branson in April. Gary and Nancy

We are currently working on her as work permits. Perhaps we will meet you in person down the road when we gey her done. Welcome again and enjoy! Ed and Carol Carver

You are at the right site. The folks in here are very nice and knowledgeable. You are always likely to find someone who knows something that you might be trying to do.
There are two things you need to know.
1) there is never a dumb queston.
2) pictures pictures pictures

If you can get to where you can take pictures and post them, the folks in here are more likely able to know what your talking about.

Welcome
Dan

Just to add, we had a 2006 Leisure Travel Van prior to our Airstream, similiar to your 22' Airstream Interstate. We put on approximately 25000 in one year traveling from our home in Ohio - out west - northern and southern route and Canada - gone several months - averaged 22.4 mpg during our ownership. A great unit that you have.

Welcome from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums, Doug and Maggie We're glad to have you with us.

We're in a similar place. I was 60 last October; SuEllyn will be 60 this June. We've been retired for several years. We got our 25FB (Lucy) in June, 2006.
So far, we have towed Lucy over 40,000 miles all over the country, and have now spent 350 nights in her. We are out in Lucy at every opportunity.

You have found the right place for all things Airstream. We all like to see photos of Airstreams, so post photos often. It's easy to do on these Forums.

Brian

I forgot to post pictures!

Here I encouraged you to post pictures, and I failed to do so.
