Hello,
We have recenly aquired a 1958 Airstream Caravanner....Freeebie!!woowhooo! and are very excited to be in the middle of the toughest restoration job of our lives,,naw its not that bad. We did get the original Title to the Airstream along with a bonus found inside of it, what looks like a reciept for membership renewal WBCCI from 1975.
We look forward to hearing from anyone that has done or is doing a restoration on a vintage Airstream.
Thanks, and Hello

Welcome! We're glad to have you here. I'm very interested in how you came to be so lucky as to get a '58 Caravanner for free! Please post some pictures if you can. Many of us here have been through the restoration process (some more than once) and we'll help you if we can.

My father gave me the camper. It was bought from the original owner, we have the original title! Dad used it for hunting purposes and it basically sat in the same spot in the woods for 30+ years. Thanks for all of the replys. We sure are going to need all the support we can get. We started a blog with pics and the story. We will try to post pics in both places! 1958 Airstream

Great pictures. And it's nice to see that Bobby is appropriately supplied with the necessary and all important tool to undertake a restoration of this magnitude - Beer!
Thanks for sharing, and you will have to remind us to look at the blog again when you've added more pictures. The memory sort of fades...........you get the idea.
