Hello to all- Alice, my wife' and I are new members and in some ways old Airstreamers. We owned a 1978, 31' rig for about ten years and caravaned from Key West to Alaska, Newfoundland and most places in between. we sold our Airstream about six years ago but have decided that we had so much fun we would like to resume our adventures. We are now in the market for a smaller Airstream, 23-26 ft. where is a good place to look. there are no Airstream dealers in the Tidewater Va. area.

look around the classified section here and you will likely find several vintage units and lots of newer models as well...

We bought our new Airstream from a dealer some 200+ miles away in the next state over so don't be discouraged that there is no Airstream dealer in your area if you are in the market for a new unit.

BTW, at the time we were shopping there were two Airstream dealers in our metro area. We decided to purchase from a dealer in another state. You get the idea. Sometimes having a local dealer isn't an advantage.

So glad to hear you are interested in another Airstream! But we sort of like them here....

Good suggestions of where to look so far. I would also check ebay, to keep a tab on going prices and maybe you will see something nearby! We bought our Bambi on ebay and everything in the process turned out great! I would also suggest looking in all your newspapers, especially the "Thrifty Nickel" type papers. You might even post a "wanted" in a local paper! Also keep your eyes open as you travel around. It is amazing how many Airstreams one can find just parked somewhere.

We know how the dealer situation is. We had to go 300+ miles to buy Lucy. Check out Ebay. There is a bunch there. Sort by highest price first; that will give you all the trailers together. Also try the classified in the Airstreamer section on the Company Website, www.airstream.com. If you are shopping new, you can view each dealer's inventory on the website. We found that dealers' prices can vary by thousands of dollars on the same unit.
