New Members!

My wife and I moved into our Flying Cloud 26RBT about 2 months ago. All is going well so far. We are full-timing, but we are stationary until I finish-up with work on July 12th.

I've enjoyed reading and researching Airforums for the last year or so. Thanks so much for all of the great advice. Of course, I'm sure we'll still make all kinds of mistakes along the way. By the way, we ignored the advice to rent before you buy or if you've never RV'd make sure you try it out before you jump right in. We jumped right in - new truck and new airstream - all new to us. I know...

I'm trying to attach a picture of our rig - we'll see how that works out.

Thanks again for all of the great reading! I hope someday we can help others like this community has helped us.

Congratulations and good luck with your new life!

You will make lots of mistakes! Just admit it and ask for help here. We are quite a community for getting help. We all will help you as much as we can. Just remember it is better to ask first before you cut into that 50 amp line. No question is a dumb question. (Cutting into a 50 amp line just might be a dumb question - don't ask that!! )

Welcome!

The picture came through just fine.

Welcome aboard! We got the same 26' (except a 2017) and also got trailer and truck at same time. Really like the 26' and we've now been in it over 320 nights and traveled over 27k miles in just over 2 years. We have been very happy with our choice of camper!

BTW - when you get tired of wrestling with the 50amp snake that AS provides:

50 amp 15' Rv Power Supply Cord Cable, 50A Marine Shore Power Cords, you might want to invest in this:

link:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Only weighs 12 lbs and is very flexible when cold. Only 15 ft long which works for 95% of campsites we've been in. If it is too short, then I carry a 25' 30 amp cord to use with generator.

Dave

Hey Dave. You were right about the 50 amp cord. It’s crazy how hard it is to deal with. I’ll be getting a replacement soon!

I, with my 30A service, envy those who wrestle with their 50A cords, just for your ability to run everything at once.

the 50 AMP cord is quite easy to manage. I make big loops and sometimes big 'figure 8' which deploy perfectly.

My wife uses the AS just like at home...

I am new here too. I stay in Finland now but that would be only for a while. I left a big truck and camper van behind. I miss it and hope to return to the camp life soon. I am also glad to be part of this community.
