Howdy!
We're off to Texas to pick up our "new" '84 Excella 270. We're not new to rv-ing, but new to Airstream. We plan to fly from Syracuse, NY to Austin, then drive the AS home taking a couple weeks to see the sights and work out the bugs, if any.
The unit we've purchased is still visible on Ebay as item number 130167376473. Does anyone on the forum know this rig? I believe it was in Florida in the Titusville / Cape Canaveral area a few years ago.
You'll notice we haven't named the rig yet. We're waiting for the old gal to show her personality before we name her.
Our route will include: Austin, San Antonio, Laredo, Corpus Christi, Houston, Baton Rouge, NO, Natchez Chase Pkwy, Nashville, Louisville, Jackson Center, OH, and on through Canada home to Northern, NY. The stop in Jackson Center is to get any bugs we discover fixed up.
Any suggestions for folks new to Airstream MH? We hope to make some friends on this forum. Also would like some opportunities for my old-time party & show band [ The Lime Hollow Boys] to get involved with AS events.
We are presently selling our '85 30-P AVION trailer "Remember When" on ebay. I converted it to resemble a 1950's Malt Shop. Take a look and tell me what you think. Ebay item number140173365999
