New member with '75 Sovereign
Hello everyone!
I have had my Airstream for about 5 years now. I say "I" because the Airstream is all mine. My DH has his vintage boat and cars, but he still gets to work on my trailer. My Airstream was all original inside and in really good shape when we got it, but we recovered the sofa and the wall panels for the twin beds, updated the appliances, put in bamboo flooring and a new counter top. My DH added a lot of steel to the frame and redid the wiring and plumbing. The only thing we are planning on doing now is polishing which I must say I am not looking forward to the process, but the end result will be worth it.
There is nothing like an Airstream. We really enjoy ours!

bhappy, welcome! Glad to hear your Airstream is well-loved and used. I'd love to see some pictures of your updates, so post some when you can. You'll have your work cut out for you polishing a Sovereign (I'm dreading the process, and I'll only be polishing 18' of Caravel!) Good luck!

Welcome to the forum! When polishing there is a way to help expedite the process; place a cold beer at the end of each panel. When you finish the section, enjoy!

Welcome aboard. We have a 75 also or should I say I have a 75, my husband loves the camping part of it, but not the fixing. I to am about to polish as soon as the weather gets better. Show us some pictures of yours.

Me, too. Yeah! Wish I had the Sovereign with me here in Mojave. I was in the middle of putting in a new rear bedroom and didn't quite finish...
Not that the Caravel isn't great, understand. But it's a 70 and has no gray water tank--another reason to love the 75 Sovereign!
Definitely post photos!!!

Sorry, the other message board I post on uses DH for dear or darling husband (never D*** Husband, since he is responsible for major Airstream upkeep!). Thanks for the welcome. I will post pictures as soon as I get some. For some reason I took some before and during the work, but I haven't since it was done. I will need to take some when it gets a bit warmer!
