New Member on the hunt for our first airstream!

Hello! Happy to be here. My husband will be retiring in the next few months and we plan to travel the US in an airstream! We are in the market for a used airstream. My husband is a carpenter. We’ve built homes and remodeled old homes in the St Louis area for many years now, so not afraid of having to make some upgrades.

We also have two Airbnb’s in the form of a small duplex attached to our home that we renovated. We will have our own home on Airbnb while we travel, as well. Just need to put the finishing touches on our homes renovations.

Looking forward to being part of the airstream community, and can’t wait to have one hitched to our truck!

Hello from Colorado: You sound well equipped for Airstream ownership. We retired 5 years ago and take about two long trips a year in our old Airstream Limited. We've been to Maine, Oregon, California, Texas, and many places in between. Traveling with the Airstream is great fun and makes the beagle file right at home.

RVs along with Airstreams are hot sellers right now. It has elevated prices and made campgrounds more crowded. We like traveling in the spring and fall. Seems a little easier for us.

Welcome.

You are living in an exciting time in your life with a lot of change and adjustment going on. Take it slowly.

With you building background and the information resources in this forum, you should be able to handle the airstream better than most. Just remember the combination of 110/12v you'll be dealing with when working on electrical.

Also, we like pictures. Pictures of your AS, your mods, places visited, etc. We'll be looking forward to them once you find and purchase your model.
