New member, new Airstream
Thanks for the warm welcome. I live in Nashville and just ordered a 2020 Globetrotter 27FB and am awaiting delivery which I hear will be mid February. I enjoy doing research before I buy and before I travel, so I joined the community and am very happy to see lots of information posted about all kinds of topics and questions. I have already learned a great deal reading posts from many of you Airstream veterans. Look forward to seeing you all out there somewhere. Thanks again.

Welcome aboard!
Please don't be shy and ask as many questions as you want to and make sure we see pictures when you pick your new Airstream up.
We like pictures.

We ordered a Serenity 28 in January of 2018. Delivery was end of April. We are now at 108 nights after 2 camping seasons. The wait is worth it...

Congrats on the new Airstream!
If you’re interested in rallies & caravans, consider joining the Airstream Club (aka WBCCI). Lots of fun and
Comraderie (sp?).
Watch the rally zone. Many rallies are “open” and don’t require membership, but most caravans go, I believe.
Georgia Mountain Air, here in Hiawassee and Alumalina in Marion, NC come to mind as ones within a day’s drive from you. There are many others.

Jself979, congratulations on selecting your new Globetrotter and welcome to the Airstream community & Forums. I hope you enjoy yours as much as we do ours.
As others have mentioned, don’t hesitate to ask for help or share your new experiences. That’s the beauty of the forums - we all learn from each other.
Cheers!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new GT.
As mentioned, and as you already have experienced, this forum is a great place to learn and to share your experiences. It's good to have you aboard.
As KK4YZ mentioned, the Airstream Club (WBCCI) is a great opportunity to learn first hand from those with experience. Plus the fun associated with rallies and caravans. Something you should definitely look into.
Just curious, what color scheme did go with in your GT? Twins or queen?
All the best!

Thank you everyone. I will post pictures after delivery, and I look forward to the Airstream experience. Hans627, to answer your question I ordered the coach with a queen bed and the interior color scheme is London Grey.

Congrats and welcome!
I was raised in Nashville and moved away after college to get the job I wanted. We still visit and love it - except for the traffic!! We often stay at Nashville Shores, right on the lake when we visit.
You are in for a lot of great adventures! Have fun and be SAFE!

O’Fallon and Nashville
Still trying to figure out how this forum works. Sorry to reply in duplicate. I used to live in O’Fallon and I know you have traffic problems too now. It’s gotten crazy bad here last five years or so with so many people moving here. That’s one of the reasons I bought an AS...so I could get out of town occasionally and away from the crowds.
