New Member - more than the paint is not yet dry

Hello -

I'm so so new (ergo probably stupid) to the Airstream community. Thinking of rehabing a trailer and full-timing for a few years. Investing my 401k in renovations - hoping to save money month to month. Please see my post under "Ladies..." and give me your thoughts/warnings/encouragement.

I just sent you a PM more along the lines of thoughts/warnings with regard to rehabbing a vintage unit. Again, just be aware of what the *issues* are with older units, know how to inspect them (checklists on this forum) and even solicit help from a member here to assist with the inspection (use the Airstream Inspectors box on the portal of this page to locate someone near you).

The encouragement I can offer is this: Ladies can do it! I am friends with several other women who have trailers/campers and have learned to address an awful lot of repair & maintenance issues, can tow and park their trailers with ease, and we have a whole lot of fun together. Funny thing is, I am the only single one - all the others' hubbies just don't enjoy traveling/camping!

I really enjoy my Airstream. I am grateful for all the support, encouragement and technical savy graciously offered by the members on this forum, friends at the rallies, and in my WBCCI unit.
