new member intro

hello folks, just starting my search for a nice travel trailer. hope to find something right around 25 feet in length. in nice condition of course and did i mention, at the very best price (for me!) possible. a very brief personal history follows: Marine Corps, law enforcement, commercial driver (all combinations of vehicles), licensed pilot and mechanic, and semi-retired dreamer. i have always enjoyed and been interested in "travel", aviation (in particular sailplanes and gliders), and diesel electric railroad locomotives. having driven most of the 48 "lower" states commercially, and taken 4 Baltimore to Chicago to Los Angeles Train trips, i have a strong desire to travel at my own pace, in my own travel trailer! so.. enough about me, don't ya think? If any one can tip me off about locating the type trailer I describerd (especially somewhat close to Seaford , Delaware, I would sure appreciate it!) thanks, i'll keep checking your posted classifieds, vinman.

Welcome to the forums!

Moostags is right ~ this is the place to find all things Airstream! While looking for your "perfect" trailer, I would look everywhere! Read the classifieds here, of course! Check ebay and use the mileage near your zip link. Check your newspaper, keep your eyes open while driving, and go to a Airstream rally near you. Some times folks at rallys have for sale signs.... click on the rally calendar at the top blue tool bar to see what is happening.

Good luck. You should find something you like! In the meantime, read through the forums and learn all you can about the size and year you are interested in. Here is a thread that discusses a number of items you may want to consider: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f353...eam-22920.html

Welcome!!
A couple of other locations to consider are RVtrader.com and Craigslist.com.
I found my current trailer on craigslist, my last one I found by just doing a Google search for "Airstream for sale". It was on some obscure site. Ya never know...
Nice to have you here.
