New member in so. CA

I joined the forum today, although I've lurked for a year. I've owned my 25' Safari SS since January '05. I've used it as an overflow bedroom at my family's Johnson Valley desert cabin. This is near Yucca Valley and we do off-road riding in the high desert. I tow the Airstream down a couple miles of dirt road to the cabin. I've also taken trips through parts of Arizona, Nevada, and northern California. I've pulled the trailer about 7,000 miles by now.

I've been happy with the trailer in general. I'm not particularly critical of detail work and the trailer looks good to me. I've had minor problems with some of the systems; I've had to install an expansion tank in the fresh water system to prevent excessive pressure surges due to water heating. This was forcing a leak by the Shurflo city water inlet/regulator (plus dribbling out the temp/pressure relief valve). The fan failed on the Parallax power converter, and throttled output in warm weather. Spiders seem to love the water heater and fridge burner tubes. I've replaced both "new Jensen" elixir roof vent domes due to UV damage. I replaced the mattress with a custom-made spring mattress.

I think the interior is beautiful. This is why I bought it and I still love it! I also like the SE models which are out now and the 75th anniversary Bambi about to be released.

tpi,

Welcome to the forums, it is nice to see another member from Orange County. We live around the corner in Orange, there are several other members in the area also.
