Hello my name is Chris Stauble. My wifes name is Melissa. We have just purchased our first trailer, a 1963 Globetrotter for $500. We are 26 years old and our very excited about our "new" trailer. We plan on fixing it up and redoing the interior. I have restored some classic cars before and I think with the help of the forum I can get this trailer fixed up pretty nicely! I am new to trailering and look forward to having fun with our Globetrotter. I also have a classic 1965 Jeep wagoneer. It was my grandfathers and he used to pull their trailer with it. I remember traveling with my grandparents to go camping and riding in the Jeep, well now grandpa is gone but I have his Jeep and now a sweet trailer to go behind it. Looking forward to reading lots of info. and asking questions I'm sure on the site. I'll post some pics soon, Thanks!

Greetings and Hallucinations!

You have stumbled to the right place, especially if you are going whole hog into a restoration. Pretty much any question you might think of can be answered here. Actually, pretty much any question most of us think of has already been answered here so be sure to use the search function a lot -- it will save you time.

There will be times when you get conflicting advice to a given question. This is especially true when it comes to tow vehicles, tires, batteries, converters..... Carefull reading will lead you to your own conclusions.

Most important is to enjoy the whole process or it will become drudgery -- try to get your trailer "campable" asap so you can take some weekends off and enjoy the rig.

Have fun, good luck,
