New member in MA, newly acquired 1972 23'

Hello, I'm new here and after looking online for new airstream fan shrouds and door and window gaskets I have found that airstream parts can be rather expensive. Anyone have any idea on affordable attractive solutions for the fans/light shroud in our airstream? They are there (3), but warped and somewhat discolored.

Also, serial number: L23D2J4482 is clearly on the plate on the side of the Airstream, but when previously registered in NY, the 'L' was omitted on the paperwork. This registration was signed by the previous owner in lieu of the title to transfer to me along with a bill of sale. Do I bring this error to the attention of the registry in MA or am I asking for trouble?

Thanks

I got my light/fan covers from Inland rv, and they've been fine for...quite a few years now. (7 or 8 years?). no sign of yellowing, like the originals.

As for the serial number, it shouldn't be a problem. Here in MA, they issue a new one, anyway. Might as well have it be "right". If I recall, mine had an incorrect number on its old title or registration (can't remember which). No problem getting the new MA title with the correct number. (I think they had switched a 5 for an S, or something like that).

Chuck,
Thanks for the title/VIN advice, I never know what to expect when I go in to the DMV, but I expect something will always be out of order and I'll need a second trip to get it right. Maybe this will be different.

I'm not sure I like the proper Airstream style light covers, but I'm in no rush to replace, maybe I'll find something different.
