Yes, we are taking the plunge. Picking up our new 28' Serenity in June. My plan was to sell the house, the biz, the furniture, the gold in my teeth and just hit the road.
My wife was a little reluctant.....she likes her home. We compromised on buying the rig and spending some time getting used to it over the next year or two. I'm thinking then she will be more than ready to just make tracks out of here with whatever we can carry.

I may have a million or two questions to ask once we pick up the new AS. I'm not the handiest guy in the world, but if I put my mind to it, I'm 50/50 to repair or screw it up.

Give this RVing thing a chance. There is a learning curve, but it is not launching rockets. You should be able to do 80% of the repairs yourself. There is an abundance of great information here on AirForums, and there is always You Tube.

Always remember that the only stupid question is the one that you don't ask.

Thanks moosetags. I'm fairly certain we are both going to love it. I've done a lot of adventure motorcycle travel and that probably would have been my first choice, but my bride doesn't share my passion for two wheels so I'm hoping having AC, classical music and ice cubes on hand will make her happy.

I do admit to being a little overwhelmed when I start reading the posts about technical issues. But I'm hoping that like everything else, the apprehension tends to be the worst part.

In a previous life, I hauled a trailer with excavating equipment through the city, so I'm not too concerned about the towing. Hopefully, some of those skills will return in quick order.
