I have been learning a lot from this site over the last few weeks as I as trying to make a decision concerning purchasing a 1976 28' Argosy motorhome. I just go off the phone with the seller and we settled on a purchase price and the details about when and how we would come get it.. It is located about 600 miles from my house. I decided that after I closed the deal I should join this group and share with you my journey and ask your advice along the way. Unlike many car forums I have been associated with everyone here seems to be very nice AND very knowledgeable! I am very thankful for what I have learned here so far--I hope I can, in turn, someday share something useful.

Hi and welcome. Congrats on your new purchase. There are a lot of moho owners here and hopefully you can find the info you need. Post some pics of your new rig when you get a chance

Welcome! I agree this is a great forum where you can/will receive great advise and help. I'd be lost without this forum and thank everyone for their help. Someday I'll know enough to help out the next newbi. Have a great trip.

Hello Bruce,
Two of our five children are in school at the University of Mississippi. Another will start there next year. Once I get this Argosy motohome cleaned up and running well it will likely show up in Oxford. Of course, I have to get it looking really good first--I woldn't want to "embarass" my children--like fathers could ever do that! Thanks for the welcome--perhaps I 'll see you in Oxford some time!

Hello HiHoAGRV,
I have a sister, brother-in-law and niece that live in Brandon. My brother-in-law is going with me to get the motorhome--wouldn' t do it with out him. We will come back through Brandon with it, before going on to Gulfport. Maybe we will cross paths in Brandon sometime! Thanks again for the welcome.

John,
Let me know when you get up this way. My wife teaches at Ole Miss. There is a great campground out past my house. It is a Corp. of Engineers site on Sardis Lake. Clear Creek is the name. I think it's the best camping area close to Ole Miss.

Welcome
John,
Welcome to the boards from another fellow Mississippian. I also have a kid starting at Ole Miss next year. We need to do an "Oxford Rally"
Bruce,
We were looking at Sardis lake as a place to stay when we go for a visit. Glad to here some nice things about it.
So, when is the Oxford/Sardis Lake rally going to be? How about a "Back to School" Rally in Aug?
Dave
