From a guy who's pushing 80 and a wife who has pushed 80, good afternoon. Just saw snow falling outside. We motorcycle camped for35 years, had four travel trailers and one pusher motor coach before giving up camping back in 2008. Having just one vehicle at times was a problem so I picked up a new ford 150. I got the bug again. the misses 1/2 a bug.
keeping my eyes open for A/S that needs some work but will have to absorb all the info in these forums first. Thanks everyone--Ron and Nan
There are plenty of Airstreams out there that need some work. Just beware that many of them (especially the vintage models) need A LOT of work--its easy to end up with a project that takes years of work and lots of cash.
You might stop by a Northern Ind WBCCI rally to test the waters. No need to buy an old Airstream without seeing what is available. Drive in to a rally Saturday afternoon. Most members are happy to show their trailers and give advice. Members are ageing out of the lifestyle all time and will have trailers for sale. There should be a Northern IN. website available to give you details.
Hi Ron and Nan, it's been a while since I was in Fort Wayne but you live in a nice city, lots of nice people there. Welcome to the forum, congrats on you and the Mrs. getting 1.5 Airstream bugs . We wish you luck in your search for the perfect trailer.
