Hello to all I have followed the site for some time, very interesting. Having camped in all manner of units over many years it was finally time to aquire what I really wanted. Seems the vintage route is an affordable way to go.
Bought this one July 05 added a new battery, water, propane, checked tires and bearings, went camping Sept. long weekend. All systems were a go. Purchased a Honda EU 2000 and an lcd tv in the spring for boondocking.
Did 2 weeks and 3 long weekends this summer, fishing trip up north in Sept.
Fresh water tank started to leak, stuff happens.
have pics could post later Thanks for listening

A winter project for you...replacing that tank. Come spring you will be good to catch the big ones again. At best you can do your tank INSIDE your trailer with HEAT.

Welcome Fishnstream,
With a name like that I know of at least two flyfishers who will probably respond to your post.
Congratulations on your "new to you" trailer, good luck on your repair, that's a bummer. But that's also a part of vintage A/S ownership. I know, because I own one too, and have spent today finishing up my water heater replacement. Why do plumbing problems always take 5 times as long as you think they will?
You have found a super site here for friendly (Mostly ) people with lots of good ideas (mostly) and lots of experience. (Definately)
I'll look forward to seeing you here in the future.
Dave

Welcome

Welcome from Roblin, MB.
Congratulations on your purchase
Have you tried your hand at Lake of the Prairies yet? Lots of Pickerill and grand camping spots.
You were indeed fortunate to only have trouble with a water tank. Should not be a large job getting that straightened away this winter.
Look forward to seeing some pictures!

Welcome aboard from Calgary!

Congrats on the trailer and glad to see you had some good use this summer.

You'll be the most popular tailgater at the rider games next year with that rig!

enjoy,
b.

Fishnstream - welcome. Glad to see some Saskatchewan silver out and about. I have a friend in Moose Jaw who found a one owner mid sixties 18 footer last summer that he's thinking of acquiring if he can convince the owner to sell. It's in pretty decent shape like yours, has been well loved and seldom used. I remember seeing quite a few Airstreams sitting beside barns in my SK travels in the 70's and 80's.

Welcome to the forum! I spent time getting some of my university education in Saskatoon and some grade school in Yorkton! Loved the prairies except for winter. I don't like winter.
