hello I'm new to the site but have owned my 1973 Excella 500 for 12 years and it was my year round home, winter and summer for 7 years. I have just begun the process of repiring and restoring it now. I'm looking for several hard to find parts such as interior trim pieces, door lock, etc. My trailer has the Onan propane powered 12VDC generator but it has never run and I would like to get it running. Any suggestion?

Hi Chris and welcome to!

Look around on the forum here for specific threads about items that you are working on, and you will usually find lots of good info.

The best way to search here IMHO is to use the Google search available from the search menu in the wide blue line near the top of the page.

Good luck, and enjoy your time here.

Welcome to AIR.

Parts do pop up here from time to time as someone parts out the rig for one reason or another, so it pays to keep an eye out. You can also peruse the classifieds and there is an area to post your parts needs as well.

As for the generator...a search is a good place to start and hopefully someone here has first hand knowledge and can be of assistance.

Welcome agian,

1st Anniversary

I just realized that Sunday was the 1st anniversary of the date that I joined Air Forums and began my restoration.
I have learned so much from reading threads and from answers given by fellow forum members and just wanted to say thank you.
BTW do I get a silver cake or something similar?

How is it working out? Did you find the trim pieces? Did you get the generator running?

Happy anniversary. I think we all learned a lot more from you and your expertise.
No silver cake, hey, how about a jar of Neuvite polish instead.

Thanks to John, Daniel and Tim.

John yeah 1700+ posts but I've been slowing down lately due to the fact I have nothing new to show.

Daniel I found some of the trim at Inland RV, still looking for some and met a great forum member here who sold me his genset which I got running.

Tim I've been learning from trial and error with plenty of errors. I found out that I'm not a failure but a success at finding out what doesn't work. LMAO. Yes I guess Nuvite is better than cake just not as tasty. LOL.
