Hello folks! I am a new member with a 1964 Globetrotter that I am working on repairing. Slow going but making progress and having fun. I am also searching for a part for the waste line. I do not have the part that attaches a sewer line to the termination point at the rear of my trailer. A friend of mine also has a globetrotter (1962) and his has the part shown in the picture attached. Does anyone know if this is what I need or where I could get one? Thanks.

That part has not been available for over 40 years.

The simple fix is to replace the brass slide valve that's on the tank, with a slide valve thats been around for decades.

Then you can easily find all the attachments for it.

Thetford is the brand that gives first class performance and that Airstream has used for many years.

Communicating with a company that handles those parts, will make your task become much easier.

Welcome! Always glad to see another '64! Let us know how we can help along the way, although this time I have to let others speak for the part(s) you require.

Andy: Thank you for your reply and advice! I assume that the slip valve you are referring to is what that "obsolete" piece in the photo attaches to? If so, mine is not brass but plastic and the end with the tabs that would receive a hose attachment is very close to where the grey water exits the system. I do not see where I can remove it to replace it with a newer version.

I can better help you, or at least try, if you post a photo of what you have.

Andy

Hi 64Glbttr, Looks like you need a Thetford to Valterra adapter. You can see an example here. Thetford to Valterra Adapter. Then you can use any standard sewer extension that you want. Like here. Search - Camping World. You can get the Thetford to Valterra adapter at most RV stores.

You can also find an a Thetford adapter here. http://www.inlandrv.com/catalog/prod...9fdb81fe62acd6
