Hello all,
This is is my 1st post. I do not own a airstream but interested in owning soon. It makes more sense to pull something light for better gas economy and to be able to set up and have the freedom to use your car or truck without driving a monster RV. My wife and I live in Arizona and plan to use it to camp at the lakes in oklahoma and Texas.
Thanks for the site and i look forward to learning more.
Sincerely,
Phil

Welcome to the forums!

You will find all things Airstream here! Just a quick note: The vintage Airstreams are quite a bit lighter than the newer ones... so depending on your interest and style you might check out the differences...

Here is a link to a thread you may find interesting about Airstreams ~ lots of different things to think about: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f353...eam-22920.html

Here is a link to the Vintage Airstream photos and layout plans... Vintage Airstream Photo Archives

Hubby and I have had a small Motor Home, a fairly good sized 5th wheel, a teardrop, and our airstreams. We love our Airstream!

Welcome again!

That's a long drive for you to come camp at the Oklahoma lakes, but come on over and see us. When you do get your Airstream, send me an email. We have a place at Lake Eufaula

Hi Phil;
welcome in this really good forum; it's really a great forum and this community is well informed on all you need to know about Airstream.

So when you say light.... it's not because Airstream are made of aluminum that they are light.... Be sure if your choice is only on the weight because A/S are heavy travel trailers and you need a serious car to tow that.

Best regards from France
