Hi folks. I have been lurking awhile but thought I'd introduce myself. Hubby and I have lived the last 15 years in an RV except for 1 year. Our son has lived 14 of his 17 years in an RV. We started in a 'box', had an Airstream for a year and have now spent the last 3 years in a 30' Avion. We picked the Avion at the time because it has a front kitchen w/ a dinette. With a teenager that is homeschooled we needed a table we could keep up all the time. I miss the Airstream. We did a lot of custom work on it but at just a foot longer the Avion is a better fit for us. The cabinetwork in the Avion is a much better grade but much heavier. We are retired Navy. Not traveling alot now, son is working and will start college in the fall. After his first couple years of college we will probably travel more if hubby's health allows. But you won't get us out of our trailer if we can't. He jokes I would like to be buried in it!

Hello Dollarhide,
Welcome! Glad you got over the lurking part.
Does the Avion tow or is it only a residence?
Nice to have you here on the forums,

It tows. We are workcamping (mowing/painting) where we are in exchange for free rent. Our son is working parttime/taking classes so we are staying put awhile. When he is out of the nest we might do more hosting for lakes, etc. as we have in the past.

Welcome to a fellow Oklahoman. If it's aluminum, you're welcome here. did have an Airstream once, so you're family.
