you're welcome

hi Shane;

Welcome in the Airstream community; All you need to know is here.

At first; check if your GMC is able to pull the trailer... 32' Begans to be heavy and consider you have always more weight to add when you decide to go in vacation with your trailer. If you does'nt, choose a smaller one.

If ok, the clear coat pelling is not important... only esthetic and you can polish after.
$5000 is a correct price so I haven't seen pictures of your future A/S.
About leaks, check and replace all the gaskets around windows, all the openings on the roof .
About tires, don't take risk to keep them, buy new one s to drive securly.

may be you'll spent money the first year in restauring this travel trailer but you'll appreciate that when you spend time inside, in a campground with all the comfort and the pleasure that Airstream gives us.

if that can help you in your decision.

32' is a whole lotta trailer for a half ton truck....

In regards to the leaks, gut instinct tells me that if there was an interior leak, somewhere there is an issue you cant see that is a result of that leak. Six years out in the elements with an active leak is a long time for some damage to accrue.

The price seems a good one though, even with some issues.
