New guy saying Hey!

Hey everbody, I just found yall while searching the internet for antique Airstream info. Last week I traded my Geo Tracker for a ancient looking AS trailer. I think it is a 1959; but I have no idea what model it is. It has a door on the right side behind the axles and one onthe left in front of the axles. I have not found any info or pictures on the web like it yet. I feel like this will be the place to learn alot about them.

Fellow Mississippian

Hello special_ed, welcome to the Forums. Photos help allot in identifying make and models - there are pros here that can help. Serial numbers tell allot if you don't mind posting them. Good Luck and see you on the road. The search feature will give you more info than you can believe - but if you have a question ask away, just be prepared for a lot of advice and help.

Ed, Welcome to the forums. Just to clear it up, you have a 2 door vintage trailer, which is rare. The sides of a trailer are mostly refered to as streetside and curbside. The two door trailers I have seen have both doors on the curb side, is that what you are saying? Pictures help and if you have the VIN, that would help also. Chech out this website. It is the best collection of vintage trailers around. Vintage Airstream Photo Archives

This trailer has one door on either side.Unfortunately there is none of the original interior, so I dont have a clue what was in there. I have to go pick it up in the next week or so. I will try to post some pics as soon as I get it home. Thanks for your replys.

Welcome to the forum! You now have a lot of peoples attention because why you traded your Geo for is a mystery. AS Cruisers were know to have two doors but both were on the curbside. I have never seen or heard of an AS with a door on each side. PLEASE post pictures as son as possible.

But I did finally figure out how to get my pictures into my own photo gallery.Click on it and let me know what yall think. One of the pics I took looking from the streetside door to the curbside through the trailer.

I think there are a couple of different ways to post pix. The way I learned from an article in the Monthly Newsletter is to:

Believe me. If I can do it. Anyone can. Ron
PS the size you are using will work fine.

just checked your photo gallery. definately an airstream. the sign under the front window is an obvious giveaway, but the panelling and doors look authentic airstream. i'd like to know the history of that one.

The end cap count marks it as a 1957 or later model. The only other thing I have to say is WOW - kewl Airstream.
