New Guy

Just a shout out to all of you who have been doing this for awhile. I'm in the market for a tag along trailer so I figured I'd go with a style that never goes out of style. I want to tote myself, wife and Japanese Akita around the USA and Canada with comfort, but don't need all of the bells and whistles of some million dollar stuff I've seen floating down the road. I've got a 2000 Ford Excursion with the V10. I bought it brand new and have pampered it except to tow a race car and occasionally a Bobcat.

Thanks to all of you ahead of time.

Welcome to the Forums!

Heck, that Excursion is practically an RV in itself, but it ought to be able to tow pretty much anything you want.

good luck!

Hello from Colorado: Nice you joined in. You can learn all about potential Airstream trailers here. I always thought the Excursion was a good vehicle. We towed our 86 Limited 34' at about 8000 pounds with about 900 pounds on the tongue for years with a E-350 Ford van with a V-10 engine. It was a nice tow vehicle.

Consider a gently used 25 or 27 foot Airstream. People trade all the time and the used ones would save some hard earned cash, although Airstreams don't depreciate as fast as some other brands. I'll bet you are quite handy (race car) and can perform the maintenance on an Airstream without difficulty.
