New from Oregon

I am looking to buy my first Airstream. My husband is a big guy- 6'4''- so I would like to find a queen bed with the middle bathroom. I have loved AS since I was little, camping in a one-wheel Coleman pop-up all over the US. I am open to advice- I looked online for available AS, and was overwhelmed...
I have 3 kids, the last one in high school. My $$$ is going to college tuition, but I prefer gently used anyway.

Our '95 Classic Limited has queen bed in rear and the middle bath with shower on one side and toilet and sink/cabinets on the opposite side, separated with sliding doors from both bedroom and kitchen/LR in front. This arrangement makes a "dressing space" in the center of the bath area and offers an open look to the bedroom from the front of the trailer. We like this arrangement very much. Our 31' pulls easily and has tandem wheels. You may be interested in the wide body trailers which began the year after ours...even an additional six-eight inches can make a difference when two people are trying to pass in the kitchen/dinette! I often wish we had those inches, but our buying price was more reasonable because of the difference. Best wishes finding your Airstream! ~G

You should come to one of the Oregon units rallies. There are tons of people there and most know of a good local AS that need a rescue. We bought our 30ft airstream for 3k a few years ago and have done a light remodel. My wife and 2 kids and I have a blast in it. We also found an 1975 argosy motorhome that we picked up for $120!! Deals are out there you just have to know where to look. There is also the land yacht harbor in Olympia wa. It's an airstream community and I remember a bunch for sale up there. You can find them on google. Best of luck

Welcome SnappyG,

There are several model/years that fit your desired layout and as gmehal suggests visiting a rally is a great way get a sense of what you like. Feel free to pose any questions that arise to the group if needed.

Good luck in your search,

Kevin
